This antique basket is made of split oak, in the classic basket weave style popular during the early 20th century. Handleless, it features a wide diameter and a medium size that is ideal for use as a gathering basket, a storage organizer, and a beautiful decorative piece all in one.
Sized at 16 inches (length) x 13" inches (width) x 8" inches (height), we love it best for gathering vegetables and flowers in the garden, for organizing pantry supplies, and for storing kitchen linens, but really, the sky is the limit when it comes to all the possibilities that an antique basket holds.

In gorgeous antique condition. This basket is strong and sturdy with no structurally unsound faults or weak areas. It sits flat against the counter and is clean both inside and out. A beautiful aged patina adds visual interest to the interior and exterior. A small scrap of antique paper (about the size of a nickel) is stuck to the bottom of the interior. There is one strip of woven wood that contains a break (please see photo), a few rows down from the rim, but this does not affect the structural integrity of the basket.
