Scottie Dog Planter - Vintage Mid-Century Mini Garden Pot

The disposition of the Scottish Terrier is independant, confident, spirit and dignified. The American Kennel Club

{HISTORY}

Hailing from the 1950's/1960's era, this vintage Scottie dog planter is loaded down with character. Our little ruffian has kept up with his adventuresome spirit for 60 years and it shows! In his coat, now a lovely patchy red clay stained color, rough in some spots but smooth in most and in a small scratch behind his left ear, he wears his six decades with style captured only by wanderlust for life. His attentive ears are always on the listen for the next exciting thrill, so be prepared - this guy will liven up your space with his loveable personality.

Meant for petite plants (like mini succulents or air plants), Scottie dog is perfect for the micro gardener in you. And he fits perfectly on a windowsill ready to guard your kitchen and your garden.

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

- thick, heavy duty ceramic constitution

- aged patina

- fun and functional disposition

- Unmarked origin

{CONDITION}

Scottie was most likely made in Japan but spent a lot of time down South in the U.S. His red clay staining is due in fact to the red clay soil found in Georgia which means he's spent his fair share frolicking among the garden. His original shiny smooth glaze is wearing in some spots (by his left cheek, his right hind leg and his left ear) which gives those areas a rougher touch. There is also a1" inch scratch behind his left ear. That is not a vulnerable fault line in anyway - this guys constitution is very sturdy and very strong. Planter opening is chip free the vessel is fully functional and ready to accommodate a pretty plant.

{SIZE}

Measures 5.25" inches (height) x 4.75" inches (width at base) x 3" inches (depth).

{WHY YOU NEED HIM}

Because he'll be your most loyal friend ever.
